What is hypnotherapy and how does it work?

Hypnotherapy uses guided relaxation and customized suggestions to achieve a heightened state of awareness in the subconscious part of the brain. Through easily accessing the subconscious mind, retraining and reprogramming the way it process's beliefs, we can achieve the changes we want to experience in our lives.

Is hypnotherapy safe?

Yes, hypnotherapy is safe when performed by a trained professional and is a reputable therapeutic practice.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions varies depending on individual needs and goals. The average amount of sessions is 4 to 6. For weight loss many times more than 6 sessions are required. Progress is assessed throughout therapy on an individualized basis. .

Can everyone be hypnotized?

Everyone is in a state of hypnosis on a daily basis, one example is when we're engrossed in a movie and another person comes into the room and speaks to you, but you're such a "zone " that you don't even notice them there. So, most people can be hypnotized if they are willing.

What should I expect during a hypnotherapy session?

Expect to feel relaxed! During a hypnotherapy session, you will be gently guided into a relaxed state and led into hypnosis where the suggestions that are created, appropriate to your needs, wants and desires are then spoken. This is when we access your subconscious mind it is then open and receptive to what you want to occur. All you have to do is relax. The sessions are paced at your comfort level and you remain in total control throughout the process.
